Rapper CDQ has slammed Headies award organizers after Mayorkun won the Best Street Hop artiste category at the event on weekend.

Mayorkun defeated Naira Marley, Rudeboy, Zlatan, Reminisceto clinch the award in that category.

Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known by his stage name CDQ, is a Nigerian indigenous hip-hop rapper and songwriter.

In a tweet he shared, rapper CDQ stated that Naira Marley should be the winner of that category and that of Mayorkun winning the award, is an attribution to playing political games in the industry.

He tweeted; “Headies una don start dis una obvious industry politics tins again… How d hell una go carry Best Street Hop give someone else at the expense of Naira dis yr amd conscience no judge una.

Everyone in that category na family but ooto oro o ni ka ma so ohun (We should speak the truth).”
