While his vocals place him at the top of Zimbabwe’s flava scene, it’s Tocky Vibe’s songwriting prowess that enables him to have made him a household name in the Zimbabwean community.
One and Only Love – Rozzy Ft Diamond Platnumz (Sierra Leon/Tanzania)
The Kabaka Multimedia Entertainment and Sierra Leone female singer and songwriter Rozzy teemed up with the WCB Wasafi records CEO, Diamond Platnumz on her new song titled “One & Only Love”.
Rozzy is one of Sierra Leone’s most positive and candid lyricist. Her songs frequently explore modern relationships. With close to a decade in the industry, she has built an immense social media following. ‘One & Only Love’ is a ballad and her first single of the year, featuring celebrated Tanzanian singer Diamond.
Valentine – Otile Brown (Kenya)
Crowned Kenya’s love doctor due to his love-themed compositions, Otile Brown comes hard on this hit. The artist have mesmerised by his “Valentine” song to find the right words to describe how precious the season is.
Only You– Gemma Griffiths (Zimbabwe)
Gemma is undeniably a household name in
Zimbabwe. Her collaboration with Zimbabwe’s Dancehall king, Winky D,“MuGarden”, broke the country’s record for the fastest Youtube views in Zimbabwean history. The hit song made number 1 on the BBC Afrobeats charts shortly after its release. Her rapid growth to stardom has seen her become one of Zimbabwe’s most popular artists.
‘Only You’ is the latest in a string of hit singles that have dominated Zimbabwe’s airwaves. The song is about a man she has fallen in love with. Gemma is currently the best Zimbabwen musician to look out for in 2021.
Leo Leo– Nandy ft Koffi Olomide (Tanzania/Congo)
Nandy has already cemented her status as one of Tanzania’s stars. On ‘Leo Leo’ she recruited well-known acts including popular Congolese Coffi Olomide, which contributed star power towards the track’s success. If she keeps making addictive hits throughout the year, she will have to adapt to life as a superstar.
Woza – Rayvanny Ft. Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania)
Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa, better known by his stage name Rayvanny, is a Tanzanian musician, songwriter and recording artist signed under WCB Wasafi records label founded by Diamond Platnumz.
Rayvanny and Diamond Platnumz are the country’s biggest artist and here they teamed up to deliver a prowess track we love you to listen to. While this track is a hit, we believe the video will also delivers high production value.
Wenge – Mimi Mars (Tanzania)
A shining star out of Tanzania, Mimi Mars is soaring in her music career and also makes her debut on Coke Studio Africa 2019 – in the Big Break segment. Many have called her a triple threat. Mimi, who started out as a YouTube personality has over the years worked to establish herself as a TV host, Mcee and singer. Her music has been smashing the charts in East Africa, with tracks like “Kodoo”, “Shuga” and “ Papara” slowly becoming singalongs for lovers of Bongo Flava.
