Nigerian music artist Sani Goriola known for his stage name “Lil Frosh”, has been arrested and now in police custody.
This is as a result of allegations that Lil Frosh physically assaulted his girlfriend back in October 2020.
Gift cried out on her Instagram page stating that he had beaten her silly and this sent negative reactions across the internet.
Gift posted images of a battered face and a downcast look, to help buttress her claim.
She said she only stayed that long believing he would change.
Lil Frosh denied the allegations of abuse saying “he never laid hands on Gift”.
He claimed that the pictures of a swollen faced of Gift circulating online are an allergic reaction of some sort.
In his words,
“I didn’t do it. I didn’t beat this girl up.”
“She’s my girlfriend. She called me saying she noticed she’s having a boil at the back of her ear.”
He left his former record label Aloma Music Worldwide (AMW) saying they had irreconcilable differences and after that, he signed up with Davido’s – Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
Davido went on his official Instagram page to announce that the contract with the has been terminated.
Davido stated that;
“In light of recent allegation made against Mr Sanni Goriola Wasiu a.k.a. Lil Frosh, we would like to state that as a record label, domestic violence is not a trivia matter and we will never support or condone such behaviour.”
“There is no excuse for the actions of Lil Frosh.”
“Upon internal investigations carried out by the label, we are left with no option than to terminate the recording contract that exists between the label and Lil Frosh effective immediately.”
In conclusion, Davido announced that “We are hereby immediately severing all affiliations with Mr Sanni Goriola Wasiu a.k.a. Lil Frosh.”
