Football and music have a whole lot in common. They are all under the entertainment umbrella. In Nigeria, the fight to ascertain who is the biggest artiste between Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy has been ongoing for a while just like the struggle to crown either Messi, Ronaldo, and others the GOAT.
The three music gods have been the frontliners in Afrobeats push for international dominance. Many have likened the talent, personality, and characters of Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy to a lot of footballers in the past.
Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid is heavily talented like Lionel Messi but with natural abilities to understand music and deliver soothing sounds for the soul. The Starboy Entertainment boss and RCA recording artiste recently dished out his fourth studio album “Made in Lagos“. The album has been positively welcomed by his fans worldwide. Just like Messi, Wizkid does almost nothing online to sustain his fans. He’s barely online nor engages his fans as Davido or Burna Boy does but yet he is cherished for his effortless performance on songs.
Davido on the other hand is overzealous and a workaholic. He has so much in common with Portuguese and Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Davido Music Worldwide boss and Columbia records recording artiste recently premiered his third studio album tagged “A Better Time“. The 17-tracks album featured so many local and international stars and has amassed outrageous numbers since its release. Just like Ronaldo, Davido is adored by many for his resilience and dedication to his craft. His use of songwriters and consistency in dropping hit songs further proves that he has the Ronaldo attribute.
Burna Boy on the other hand could be said to be arrogant, passionate, and fearless. He is a workaholic who broke into the game despite being underrated by so many. His fifth studio album “Twice as Tall” is a double-edged sword of message and fun.
