D’Prince – Frenzy & Jonzing (Artist Review)

Charles Enebeli, commonly known by his artistic name D’Prince, is an Afro-pop singer and songwriter and a junior brother to Michael Collins Ajereh, or better known by his stage name, Don Jazzy. Don Jazzy is a Nigerian billionaire musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, and the CEO of Mavin Records. Nigeria.

The star has been making waves in the music industry. He performs his songs in English, Igbo, Pidgin English, and Yoruba.

The singer uses a combination of Afro-pop and Afrobeatto bring his music to life. Most of his songs are based on his life. He documents the struggles undergone by a young Nigerian trying to achieve his dreams.

D’prince began in 2005 after joining Mo’ Hits Records after Don Jazzy came back from the UK to promote the record label. He worked on his album known as Frenzy. It was released in 2012 under Mo’ Hits. In the years that followed, he released more albums and singles as well.

D’Banj’s disassociation from Mo’ Hits Records prompted Don Jazzy to change its name to Mavin Records. D’Prince then shifted from Mo’ Hits Records to Mavin Records in 2012 and released his first studio album known as Solar Pelux. Some of the songs in this album are Amarachi and Take Banana.

D’prince is currently the founder and the CEO of Jonzing World, an entertainment company which he founded in 2019.
