Davido Celebrates Second Gold Record In The US
Nigerian singer Davido’s 2017 hit single “If” has been certified Gold in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America.
This means that the song which was released in 2017, has sold 500,000 copies in the U.S to earn the certification.
Runtown To Host First Virtual Concert In April Powered By Live Connections
Afrobeats superstar Runtown announces first livestream or virtual music experience as Valentine’s Day gift to fans and tagged it #CountdowntoRuntown which scheduled to take place on Friday, April 2nd 2021
Making the official announcement on his verified social pages, Runtown wrote, ” Join me on 2 April 2021 for my first ever virtual show powered by Live Connections. Tickets available from 1 March.
Singer, Omah Lay Robbed At The Airport
Singer and Godly crooner, Omah Lay has stated that he was robbed and his laptop, microphone and audio interface were
taken from his box.
The singer disclosed this on his Twitter handle this evening. He however did not state in which of the airports he was robbed.
”So they stole my laptop, microphone & audio interface from my box at the airport LMAO, y’all looking for a hit record or what?” he tweeted.

Ealier this week, the production team of Coming To America announced that songs from Larry Gaga, Tiwa Savage, Tekno and the rest would be featured on the forthcoming soundtrack album for the forthcoming movie, “Coming to America 2.”
“Rhythms of Zamunda”the soundtrack album of Coming to America 2 will trace the origin of African musical roadmap through Western, Eastern and South African Soundscapes.
Nigerian Songs listed on the tracklist include; Tiwa Savage’s “Dangerous Love remix”, Larry Gaaga and Umu Obiligbo’s “Owo Ni Koko”, Tekno’s “Skeletun”& Alpha P’s “Jiggy Bop”.

Omay Lay and Dangbana Republik artist Bella Shmurda are currently making waves with their singles in the TurnTable Top 50 best musics of the week.
Omah Lay “Godly” hits eleven weeks at No. 1. Dangbana Republik & Bella’s“Rush” moves to No. 8, becoming Bella Shmurda’s third top ten entry.
“Godly,” released under KeyQaad/SIRE/Warner, spends a record-extending eleventh week at No. 1 on the TurnTable Top 50, after becoming the only song to hit double digits weeks at the top of the chart last week.
“Godly” holds at No. 1 on streaming with 1.27 million equivalent streams (down 7.9%), repeats at No. 2 on radio with 37.91 million radio airplay audience impression (down 13.84%) and stays at No. 2 on TV with 13.39 million TV airplay audience impression (down 5.67%).
Dj Kaywise & Phyno is steady at No. 2 , making it four consecutive weeks behind “Godly.” The song tallied 55.47 million radio airplay audience impression (down 8.61%) to stay at No. 1 on radio and drew 760,000 equivalent streams (down 6.97%) at No. 5 on streaming.
